Volta Regional Minister Receives “Dirty Blood” Production Team Ahead of December Stage Performance
The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has received Noble Jesse Glikpoe, Artistic Director of the upcoming stage play “Dirty Blood”, together with a team member from the University of Education, Winneba, in his office at the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) in Ho.
The team visited to brief the Minister on their December theatre production and to seek his blessings and support as they prepare to stage the play in the regional capital. “Dirty Blood,” written by Sackey Sowah and directed by Noble Jesse Glikpoe, is being produced by ARTlantic Studios and Jzuma Entertainment in collaboration with the Centre for National Culture (CNC).
The play is scheduled for 19th to 21st December 2025 at the CNC Auditorium, Ho, with performances at 7:00 pm each night. Tickets go for GH¢100 (VIP) and GH¢50 (Regular).
Exploring themes of power, legacy, and the consequences of moral choices, “Dirty Blood” tells the gripping story of a ruler whose desperate quest for an heir leads to decisions that ultimately threaten his own throne.
Hon. Gunu commended the team and the production crew for promoting theatre arts and using creative expression to reflect societal issues. He assured them of his support and encouraged more youth-driven cultural initiatives that showcase the talent and creativity of the Volta Region.
The team expressed appreciation to the Minister for the warm reception and pledged to deliver a memorable and impactful performance in December.
