Volta Regional Minister Hon. James Gunu has highlighted a strengthened partnership with the Regional House of Chiefs to drive development.

Speaking on December 23, 2025, Hon. Gunu said the collaboration extended to the joint supervision of key government projects, including the “Big Push” initiative. He noted that specialized training for the House had also significantly reduced chieftaincy disputes.

The Minister pointed to strong government attention, citing President Mahama’s eight visits and over 200 active GETFund projects in the region.

Following his address, Hon. Gunu engaged in a question-and-answer session with the chiefs, focusing on furthering regional progress.
