This morning, the Hon. Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, joined the various Security Services in Ho for a route march aimed at strengthening preparedness and coordination ahead of the festive season.

The route march commenced at the Trafalgar Taxi Rank, through major streets within the Ho township, and ended at the Volta Barracks. After the nearly three-hour exercise, Hon. James Gunu addressed the men and women of the security services.

In his remarks, he commended them for their dedication, discipline, and the vital role they continue to play in maintaining peace and stability across the Volta Region. He further urged them to tighten security and remain vigilant, particularly during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, when public activity is heightened.

Hon. James Gunu expressed satisfaction with the level of professionalism and morale displayed by the security personnel and assured them of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council’s continued support.

He also appealed to the general public to cooperate fully with the security agencies by being law-abiding and sharing credible information when necessary, stressing that security is a shared responsibility.

The Volta Regional Coordinating Council remains committed to working with all stakeholders to ensure a peaceful, safe, and enjoyable festive season for residents and visitors to the region.
