Speaker of Parliament Pays Courtesy Call on Asogli Traditional Authorities
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, together with the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, paid a courtesy call on the traditional leaders of Asogli State to express condolences on the passing of Mama Agblatsu III, the Divisional Queen Mother of Ho Bankoe.
Although the Speaker was in the Region for a parliamentary assignment, he took the opportunity to visit and mourn with the chiefs and people of the area. Addressing the gathering, he stated that he and his delegation had come to pay homage and stand in solidarity with the paramountcy during this solemn moment.
Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, expressed his appreciation for the gesture, recalling his long-standing relationship with the Speaker. He commended him for his service to the nation and wished for more frequent engagements in the future.
The visit highlighted the strong ties between national leadership and traditional authorities, reinforcing the spirit of unity and mutual support in times of mourning.
