The Regional Director of the Department of Community Development has briefed the Chief Director of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC), MR. Augustus K. Awity on the challenges facing the Department in the region. Key amongst them was low staffing at the regional office coupled with inadequate and late releases of funds to undertake planned programs and activities.

The Chief Director in response assured the Director of immediate postings of additional staff to the Department to augment their number. The Chief Director further underscored the critical role of the Department in achieving the Government’s policies and programs and pledged the support of the Regional Coordinating Council to the Department.
