The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, joined Hon. Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, MP for Hohoe, and Hon. Kumi Prosper, MCE of Hohoe Municipal Assembly, to grace the opening ceremony of the Alavanyo Circuit Sports at the Alavanyo EPVTI premises on 23rd February 2026.

In his address, Hon. Gunu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to nurturing young talents and skills through sports development. He urged athletes to give their best and adhere to the rules, emphasizing the importance of fair play.

To support the event, Hon. Gunu presented a cash donation of GH₵5,000 and sets of jerseys to the athletes.
