The Hon. Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao. Letsa, has participated in the Handing and Taking Over Ceremony between Col. Bernard Baba Pantoah and Lt Col. Edward Sarpong Appiah at the Obeng Square, Volta Barracks of the 66 Artillery Regiment Ho.

Col. Pantoah took over as the 16th Commanding Officer of the Regiment on 12th September 2017.

As a Commanding Officer, Col. Pantoah played active role in the functions and operations of the Volta Regional Security Council. He worked tirelessly towards ensuring and promoting the relative peace in the region.

He, particularly, was instrumental in the relative peace and security the Region had in the Alavanyo and Nkonya areas.

In the containment of the activities of the secessionist groups that emerged in the Region, he displayed leadership and professionalism.

According to the Hon. Regional Minister, Col. Pantoah had served the Region to the best of his ability and for that reason, the Volta Region owed him a lot of gratitude.

He wished him well in all his future endeavours, as he pledged the support of the Regional Co-ordinating Council for the new Commanding Officer in order that he would be successful in his new role.
