Abor Senior High School on Saturday, June 14, 2025, launched its 60th anniversary celebration under the theme “60 Years of Impactful Journey: Providing Transformative Secondary Education through Indigenous Values and 21st Century Skills.” The event, held at the school’s New Assembly Ground, brought together dignitaries including the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, and the Guest of Honour, Right Hon. Bernard Ahiafor, First Deputy Speaker.

In his address, Hon. James Gunu reiterated government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing education in Ghana and commended the school for its contributions to academic excellence and national development. Right Hon. Ahiafor applauded the school’s achievements and urged students to embrace discipline and innovation, stating that “education remains the most powerful tool to transform society.” He further encouraged stakeholders to “support the school to maintain its legacy of excellence.”

The colourful ceremony featured cultural performances, student recitals, and goodwill messages from alumni and community leaders.
