A sports delegation of Senior High School students from the Volta Region was involved in an accident at Sokode Tsawenu over the weekend while enroute to Accra for a national sports event. Though several sustained injuries, there were no fatalities. Regional PE Coordinator, Mr. Roger Kwaku Tay, suffered a fractured arm and underwent surgery with an implant. The Volta Regional Minister, accompanied by the Regional Education Director and Assistant Director, visited him at the Ho Teaching Hospital and made a cash donation. The Minister also donated GH₵1,000 each to seven other patients in the ward to support their medical expenses.
