Volta Regional Minister Hon. James Gunu Joins Peki Thanksgiving Service
The Local Council of Churches, in collaboration with the Peki Traditional Council, held a Thanksgiving Service in Peki, bringing together religious and traditional leaders to seek divine blessings for the year ahead. The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, joined the celebration as the Guest of Honour.
In his address, Hon. Gunu emphasized the role of faith and tradition in promoting peace, development, and social cohesion. He commended the Peki Traditional Council and the church leadership for fostering unity and urged continued collaboration in tackling community challenges. He further called on all stakeholders to work together in advancing development initiatives in the Region.
During the event, Deiga Kwadzo Dei XII, Paramount Chief of the Peki Traditional Area, appealed for support to establish a Trauma Center in Peki. He highlighted the frequent accidents on the roads leading to the area and stressed the urgent need for a well-equipped facility to provide emergency medical care.
The service featured uplifting choir ministrations, a sermon by Rev. Dr. Lt. Col. Bliss Divine Agbeko Moderator of the E.P Church,Ghana and prayers for the Peki Traditional Area and its people.
