The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has welcomed a delegation from the Desert Research Institute (DRI), led by its Director, Dr. Braimah Apambire, during a courtesy call to introduce their institution and its initiatives.

The meeting focused on the need for sustainable water management, sanitation, and environmental conservation in the Volta Region. Hon. Gunu emphasized the importance of a regional water dialogue to address pressing water-related challenges and improve access to clean water for communities.

Dr. Apambire outlined DRI’s mission and upcoming programs, which include capacity-building initiatives and research collaborations to support water and sanitation solutions.
