The Volta Regional 2026–2029 Composite Budget hearings began on Monday in the Ho West District and continued today with a session in Ketu North. In attendance was the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, who underscored the importance of the budget hearing process.

Also present was the Technical Advisor to the Minister of Finance, Alhaji Abubakari Ibrahim Dey, who emphasized the need for strict fiscal discipline. The hearings are designed to ensure that MMDA budgets align with national development goals and adhere to approved spending ceilings.

All assemblies are required to submit their final approved budgets by November 8, 2025.
