The National Ambulance Service, led by Regional Commander Bright Kingsley Manu, paid a courtesy call on Hon. James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, to congratulate him and discuss key concerns affecting emergency services in the Region.

They requested additional ambulances for Ho, the borders (Akanu, Shia, Nyive), and Ho Airport, as well as an ambulance station at the market. A major concern was the lack of an oxygen plant, forcing them to refill cylinders in Accra.

Chief Director Augustus Awity pledged support to secure an oxygen plant, while Hon. Gunu assured them he would prioritize the issue alongside their other concerns.
