Hon. Volta Regional Minister officially Hands over Ambulances to Municipal and district Assemblies.
At a short ceremony held at the forecourt of the Volta Regional Co-ordinating Council on Thursday, January 30, 2020 which was attended by Regional Heads of Department and Agency, Members of the Regional Security Council, some Traditional Leaders, Some Religious Leaders as well as Staff of the National Ambulance Service, the Hon. Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, handed over 18 ambulances, which were part of 307 ambulances commissioned by His Excellency (H.E.) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana, to the 18 Constituencies of the Volta Region.
In a short address, the Hon. Regional Minister reminded the gathering of the promise made by H.E. the President of the Republic in 2016 as the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party. He stated that the provision of the ambulances was in fulfillment of that promise.
He therefore underscored the benefits to be derived from the presence of the ambulances by the Region which the Region was happy about.
I however charged all stakeholders; Hon. Municipal and District Chief Executives, Staff of the National Ambulance Service among others to ensure the ambulances were taken good care of and put to their intended use.
Dr. Letsa concluded that, “As H.E the President delivers on his promises, he needs 4 more years to do more.”
