The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, today addressed the 4th Annual General Meeting of the Society of Medical Laboratory Managers, Ghana (SMLM-G), held at Hotel Stevens in Ho.

In his remarks, the Minister emphasized the critical role of laboratory professionals in healthcare delivery, noting that over 70% of clinical decisions rely on laboratory data. He called for their inclusion in healthcare leadership and policy-making, describing the laboratory as a cornerstone of evidence-based medicine.

Hon. Gunu reaffirmed government’s commitment to promoting inter-professional collaboration and inclusive healthcare governance. The AGM brought together stakeholders to discuss innovations and reforms needed to strengthen Ghana’s health system.
