The Ghana AIDS Commission, led by Volta Regional Technical Coordinator Mary Naa Ashley Anyomi, together with the Coalition of NGOs in Health, led by Regional Chairman Rev. Gershon Kwame Osei on 18th March 2025, paid a courtesy call on the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu.

The delegation shared key updates on HIV/AIDS data in the Region and briefed the minister on their activities and challenges. They highlighted that some areas remain inaccessible for their outreach programs, and financial constraints continue to limit their efforts, but they remain committed to public sensitization and advocacy.

Hon. James Gunu thanked them for their dedication and reaffirmed that health is a top priority. He encouraged continued collaboration and emphasized the need for sustained awareness, especially among the youth.
