Day 2 of the Volta Regional Minister’s tour of selected key government project sites continued today, led by Hon. James Gunu, together with the Member of the Council of State representing the Volta Region, H.E. Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple; representatives of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs; religious leaders; technical teams; and other key stakeholders.

The delegation assessed progress on critical road and infrastructure projects aimed at improving mobility, strengthening regional connectivity, and stimulating economic activity across the region.

The team inspected the following project sites:

1. Preliminary works on the 1,000 housing units to be constructed by the Tema Development Corporation in Ho.

2. Lot 4 (Big Push): the 7.7km Anyirawase–Ho (Sokode) Road, the 10km UHAS Bypass to Ho Titrinu, and the 11km Ho (Guinness Depot)–Airport 2nd Gate Road.

3. Lot 5 (Big Push): the 27km Airport 2nd Gate–Kpetoe Road.

4. Lot 6 (Big Push): the 24km Kpetoe–Ave Afiadenyigba Road.

5. Lot 7 (Big Push): the 8.5km Kpetoe–Ave Afiadenyigba Road.

6. Lot 8A (Big Push): the 14km Ave Afiadenyigba–Penyi Road.

7. Lot 8B (Big Push): the 9km Ave Afiadenyigba–Penyi Road.

8. Lot 9 (Big Push): the 22km Penyi–Denu Road.

During the engagements, the Regional Minister urged contractors to uphold the highest standards of workmanship, stressing that quality must never be compromised. These projects are essential to the immediate and long-term development and transformation of the Volta Region.
