The Volta Region witnessed the commissioning of a newly constructed health facility in Abutia Kpota, funded by the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH). The project marks a decade of KOFIH’s presence in Ghana, reinforcing Korea’s commitment to strengthening the country’s healthcare system.

H.E. Kyongsig Park, Korean Ambassador to Ghana, reaffirmed Korea’s dedication to supporting healthcare infrastructure, with plans to expand Ho Teaching Hospital. Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Minister of Health, praised Korea’s continued contributions to Ghana’s healthcare advancements.

A second commissioning took place in Ho near the Worezor Hotel, where the Biomedical Engineering Unit of the Regional Health Directorate was inaugurated. This facility will provide essential repair services for medical equipment in the region. The same high-profile delegation attended this milestone event.
