Following the unveiling of the statue in honour of Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, together with the National Chairman of the NDC, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, traditional authorities, party executives, and other dignitaries, proceeded to Dzelukope in the Keta Municipality for the sod-cutting ceremony for a Community Library and Museum Project.

The project, when completed, is expected to serve as a centre for learning, research, and historical preservation, while promoting education, civic responsibility, and community development. The sod-cutting marked the official commencement of works on the facility, which will benefit present and future generations.
