Volta Regional Minister Inspects State Housing Lands at Agbokofe
The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has inspected portions of state lands allocated to the State Housing Company at Agbokofe on the Ho – Aflao road as part of ongoing efforts to assess and safeguard government lands in the Region.
The visit, which took place on March 19, 2025, was led by Mr. Bright Nutakor, Administrator of the State Housing Company, alongside his team. The land forms part of a 1,860-acre allocation to the Ministry of Works and Housing, with 103 acres specifically designated for the State Housing Company.
During the inspection, it was observed that portions of the land had been encroached upon. Discussions are underway to explore measures to protect these lands and ensure they serve their intended purpose for sustainable development.
Hon. James Gunu emphasized the importance of safeguarding state lands as valuable national assets, highlighting the need for collective efforts to preserve them for future projects that will benefit the people of the Volta Region.
