The Volta Region has been selected to host the 41st National Farmers’ Day Celebration on 5th December and the Volta Trade and Investment Fair from 26th November to 8th December in Ho, the regional capital..

Announcing the events at a Press Soirée in Ho, the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, described the hosting as a great honour and recognition of the region’s immense contribution to national food security.

The National Farmers’ Day, scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025, will be held under the theme “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future.” The Minister said the celebration will promote local food production and consumption while encouraging innovation and investment in agriculture.

Running alongside the national event, the Volta Trade and Investment Fair will showcase the region’s economic potential, including opportunities in agro-processing, tourism, and manufacturing, while providing a platform for networking and cultural exhibitions.

Hon. Gunu called on corporate institutions, traditional authorities, and the media to support preparations, adding that “the Volta Region stands ready to welcome the nation with unity, hospitality, and excellence.”
