The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has urged legal professionals to actively support investment promotion in the Volta and Oti Regions, stressing that “meaningful development cannot thrive without legal certainty.”

Speaking at the maiden Volta and Oti Bar Homecoming held at Reddington Beach Resort, Whuti, Hon. Gunu called for stronger legal infrastructure and proposed the establishment of a law faculty in the Region.

The event, which took place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, brought together lawyers from across the country under the theme “Connecting Legal Practice with Investment Opportunities in the Volta and Oti Regions.”

The President of the Ghana Bar Association, Mrs. Efua Ghartey, emphasized the legal profession’s role in safeguarding investor interests and ensuring proper execution of investments.

She also urged lawyers to embrace information technology to enhance efficiency in practice.

President of the Volta & Oti Bar, Mr. Moses Ayine Asampoa, encouraged lawyers to become investment ambassadors and highlighted the Regions’ untapped potential.

The three-day homecoming blended professional development with cultural, social, and networking activities.
