Veterans Association of Ghana (VAG) Director pays a courtesy call on the Hon. Volta Regional Minister.
The Executive Director of Veterans Association of Ghana (VAG), Captain (Rtd) Edmond Duah accompanied by other Executives paid a courtesy call on the Hon. Volta Regional Minister Dr Archibald Yao Letsa in his office. Captain (Rtd) Edmond Duah informed the Hon. Minister that he was in the region as part of his national tour. He indicated that while in the Region, it was very necessary for him to call on the Hon. Regional Minister.
He used the opportunity to acknowledge the support of the Hon. Regional Minister and the Co-ordinating Council offer VAG in the Volta Region.
He also solicited the support of the Hon. Volta Regional Minister towards the organization and observance of Remembrance Day Celebration which is dubbed 11/11.
He requested that the Hon. Regional Minister promotes the wearing of the poppy as part of the celebration.
The Hon. Regional Minister on his part expressed his appreciation to the Executive Director for the courtesy call and stated that the Council shall continue to support the Association in the region.
Furthermore, he entreated the Executive Director to lobby the parliament of Ghana on the wearing of the poppy for a month. He also advised that they contact the media to promote the wearing of the poppy.
