The United Cadres Front-Volta Chapter has paid a courtesy call on the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, to congratulate him on his appointment and express their unwavering support for his leadership.

The delegation, led by the Regional Women Coordinator, Madam Abigail Naki Gabor, expressed excitement about his new role and assured him of their readiness to assist him in any capacity to ensure the progress of the Region. They commended his dedication to governance and reaffirmed their commitment to working with him to achieve key developmental goals.

Hon. James Gunu, in response, expressed gratitude for their support and acknowledged the significance of their contribution to regional and national development. He emphasized that the victory in the 2024 General Elections was a historic moment, particularly for women in Ghana, as it marked the election of the country’s first female Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

“The victory belongs to the women of Ghana because, for the first time, we have a female Vice President. It is a new dawn for women’s empowerment,” he stated.

The Minister further assured the group of his commitment to advancing His Excellency John Dramani Mahama’s agenda for women in the Volta Region. He pledged to implement policies that promote women’s empowerment, leadership, and economic inclusion, ensuring that the vision set forth by the President is fully realized.
