U.S.-Based GPI Defense Explores Security Investment in Volta Region
A team from GPI Defense, a U.S.-based security and infrastructure investment company, has visited the Volta Region to explore potential collaborations in security enhancement, skills training, and infrastructure development. The delegation was led by Dan Agboka Dzegede, Executive Director of the Volta Development Forum (VDF), and met with Hon. James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister.
Hon. James Gunu commended the VDF for facilitating the partnership, emphasizing the need to equip security agencies with modern tools. He also highlighted the importance of regulating and developing traditional arms-making skills for productive use while ensuring early security training for children to promote patriotism and discipline.
The GPI Defense team expressed their commitment to long-term development, focusing on job creation, technical training, and technology transfer to benefit the youth and the Region.
This partnership marks an important step toward strengthening security and fostering sustainable development in the Volta Region.
