The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, joined thousands of cycling enthusiasts and dignitaries at the Volta stretch of the 3FM Tour Du Ghana event. Accompanying him were the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Anloga, Hon. Sandra Seyram Kpedor; the DCE for South Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Doe; and other Municipal and District Chief Executives (MCEs) from the Region.

In the women’s category, the race began from Sogakope, culminating in a 142-kilometer ride. Patience Effiong Otuodung emerged victorious after a grueling contest. The men’s race started from Central University in Accra and was won by Solomon Tagoe, who received a cash prize of GHC 10,000, a brand-new bicycle, and assorted products from sponsors.

The event highlighted the growing popularity of cycling in Ghana and reinforced the Volta Region’s commitment to promoting sports tourism and healthy lifestyles.
