Document Fraud Training Held for Births and Deaths Registrars in Volta
The Volta Region hosted a Document Fraud and Awareness Training for Births and Deaths registrars, supported by the Royal Netherlands and Norwegian Embassies. Held at Chances Hotel in Ho, the training focused on fraud detection, identity verification, and strengthening data collection. Hon. James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, emphasized the Registry’s vital role in national development and crime control. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to institutional resetting, starting with key departments like Births and Deaths. The Acting Registrar, Mr. Samuel Adom Botchway, highlighted the need to equip staff with modern skills for effective service delivery.
