The Buz Stop Boys, led by their President, Heneba Kwadwo Safo, paid a courtesy call on the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, to congratulate him on his appointment and share their vision of promoting a clean and green environment through patriotism, volunteerism, and selflessness.

Currently operating in Accra and Kumasi, the group is committed to lightening up communities and keeping public spaces clean, with plans to expand to Volta Region and other parts of the country.

Hon. Gunu welcomed their initiative, emphasizing that keeping the environment clean is a collective responsibility. He recalled the Sanitation Day policy introduced by former Minister Julius Debrah, where District Assemblies dedicated time to clean their surroundings. He also reflected on past school hygiene inspections, noting that personal cleanliness and community sanitation must once again be prioritized.

The Minister further stressed the need to tackle waste at its source while exploring innovative ways to transform waste into wealth, citing examples of waste being converted into electricity and fertilizers.

He assured the Bus Stop Boys of his support and encouraged partnerships that promote sustainability and environmental consciousness across the Volta Region.
