The Vice Chairperson of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) Eastern, Volta and Oti Regions Branch, Mrs. Lucy Tenkorang on behalf of the Branch, has presented some items to the Hon. Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, towards the COVID-19 fight in the Volta Region. She was assisted by Mr. Dela Gbeve, an Executive Member of the Branch.

The items presented included 15 rolls of paper towels, 5 boxes of surgical masks, 25 gallons of liquid soap, 10 boxes of hand sanitizers, and 20 packs of bottled water.

The rest were 2 crates of Lucozade Energy Drink, 10 packs of bottled Malt, 2 Infrared Thermometers, 20 loaves and 100 locally-made face masks.

In addition, the Branch presented a cheque of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis as a financial support towards the coronavirus fight.

In presenting the items, Mrs. Tenkorang said the Branch saw the need to contribute its widow’s mite towards the containment of the virus in the Region.

Dr. Letsa was elated by the kind gesture of the Branch. Therefore, on behalf of the Co-ordinating Council, Regional Public Health Emergency Committee, the Chiefs and people of the Region, he expressed appreciation to the Branch.

He stated that the items would be distributed to the Ho COVID-19 Testing Centre, and the COVID-19 Treatment Centres among others.

Present were the Hon. Deputy Regional Minister, Pastor Johnson Avuletey; Chief Director of the Co-ordinating Council, Mr. Felix B. Chaahaah; Chief Executive Officer of the Ho Teaching Hospital, Dr. John Tampuri; and Director of Administration of the Ho Teaching Hospital, Mr. George Tetteh.
