A Training on Domestic Violence and Partner Abuse for DOVVSU Staff of the Volta Regional Ghana Police Service
On Wednesday 7th February, 2024, Feminine Star Africa in collaboration with Ball State University and the Department of Gender, Volta Region held a training on Domestic Violence and Partner Abuse for DOVVSU Staff of the Volta Regional Ghana Police Service.
The objective of the training aimed at equipping DOVVSU Staff within the Ghana Police Service in Ho with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively address and manage cases of domestic violence and partner abuse.
The focus areas for the training were on Gender Relations, Gender Disaggregated Data, Client Management, Self Care and the Legal aspects of Domestic Violence.
Resource persons present were Mrs. Thywill Eyra Kpe (Regional Director of DoG), Mr. Bismark Tay (Programmes Coordinator of Feminine Star Africa), Doctor Keisha Warren-Gordon (Ball State University and Lawyer Andrews Dodzie Adugu (Senior State Attorney).
