The Volta Regional Coordinating Council today inaugurated the reconstituted Volta Regional Spatial Planning Committee for another 4-year term, in line with Section 26(2) of the Land Use and Spatial Planning Act, 2016 (Act 925).

The committee, chaired by the Regional Minister, is mandated to oversee land use and spatial development planning across the region. Membership includes heads of key regional agencies such as the Lands Commission, EPA, Fire Service, Highway Authority, and a representative of the Regional House of Chiefs.
