Volta Regional Coordinating Council Maintains Top Spot In 2023 Performance Contract Evaluation For Fourth Consecutive Years

The Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) has once again distinguished itself as Ghana’s top-performing Regional Coordinating Council in the 2023 Performance Contract Evaluation. This remarkable achievement marks the fourth consecutive year VRCC has earned the top spot, with an Impressive overall rating of 91.50%, categorized as “Excellent.”

The annual evaluation, conducted by the Local Government Service (LGS), assesses the performance of all Regional Coordinating Councils (RCCs) based on key performance areas, including governance, administrative efficiency, and service delivery. The Volta RCC’s exceptional performance reflects its commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainable development in the region.

The Local Government Service’s evaluation highlighted VRCC’s outstanding initiatives, including:

• Implementing effective development policies aligned with the region’s strategic goals.

• Excelling in project monitoring, evaluation, and accountability.

Driving Inclusive governance and stakeholder collaboration across the Volta Region.

The Regional Minister, Honorable Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, expressed profound gratitude to the team, stating:

“This is a clear demonstration of the commitment and diligence of our staff and management in making the Volta Region a benchmark for excellence. We dedicate this victory to the people of the Volta Region and pledge to continue delivering impactful services that enhance development and improve livelihoods.”

The Chief Director of VRCC, Mr Augustus K. Awity, commended the staff for their unwavering commitment, stating:

“Our collective efforts and innovative strategies have paid off once again. This accolade inspires us to work even harder to sustain this performance and serve as a standard for excellence in Ghana.”

He further noted that this should serve as an impetus to strengthen our management systems to further enhance our performance going into the future.
