Hon. James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, today, March 26, 2025, joined a session on environmental and water resource degradation at Volta Serene Hotel, Ho.

The event, led by Dr. Braimah Apambire, Lead Director of the Desert Research Institute (DRI), focused on sustainable water management and climate adaptation. Hon. Gunu emphasized the need for strong institutional partnerships to tackle climate challenges. Dr. Apambire highlighted DRI’s work, including hosting 35 graduate students from 27 countries equipping them with skills to tackle global environmental challenges.
The Minister commended DRI’s efforts and reaffirmed the Volta Regional Coordinating Council’s support for water conservation and environmental sustainability.
