PHILANTHROPIST DONATES PICKUP TO KPEVE POLICE DISTRICT
The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, together with the District Chief Executive (DCE) for South Dayi, Hon. Courage Kokroko, and the DCE for Afadjato South, Hon. Manfred Tawiah, inspected the Government of Ghana’s Affordable Housing Project in Kpeve before handing over a pickup vehicle to the Kpeve District Police Headquarters.
The vehicle, donated by philanthropist BSK, is to enhance police mobility and operations in the area. Receiving the pickup, the Regional Police Commander, RCOP Wisdom Akorli, said it will improve operational efficiency and assured that it will be well maintained.
Hon. James Gunu expressed excitement over the donation, noting that many police stations in the Volta Region face mobility challenges. He commended individuals who partner with government to support security delivery, stressing that improved mobility is crucial under the government’s 24-hour economy agenda. He also emphasized the importance of cordial community–police relations and urged both officers and the public to act responsibly at all times.
