Hope Restored at UHAS Fodome Campus
On Day 3 of his working tour of the Hohoe Municipality, the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, together with the MP for Hohoe, the MCE, officials of UHAS, and Togbiwo and Mamawo of the Fodome Traditional Area, visited the UHAS Campus at Fodome.
The project, which stalled at 58% completion, has now resumed—renewing hope for students, faculty, and the wider community.
Registrar of UHAS, Ms. Yaa Amankwah, expressed joy at the restart of works, stressing that the facility will expand access to health education, strengthen research, and bring socio-economic benefits to the people of Fodome and beyond.
Hon. James Gunu reaffirmed the Mahama-led government’s commitment to seeing UHAS grow and urged contractors to hold regular site meetings to keep stakeholders updated. He assured that every effort will be made to complete and operationalize the Fodome Campus to serve both academic and the community.
