A two-day Capacity Building Workshop for the Judicial Committee of the Volta Region House of Chiefs.
Today in Ho, I joined the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, the National Security Adviser to the President, Hon. Prosper Douglas Bani, and our revered Torgbiwo at the opening of a two-day Capacity Building Workshop for the Judicial Committee of the Volta Region House of Chiefs.
With over 69 active chieftaincy disputes in the region, this workshop is timely. It will strengthen the capacity of our judicial committees to resolve cases fairly and efficiently.
Government remains committed to supporting the institution of chieftaincy by digitizing succession records, resourcing Houses of Chiefs, and deepening collaboration between traditional leaders and local assemblies.
Chieftaincy is the soul of our traditions and the heartbeat of our communities. Together, we must ensure it continues to promote unity, peace, and development in the Volta Region.
