{"id":916,"date":"2018-05-04T07:50:24","date_gmt":"2018-05-04T07:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/voltaregion.gov.gh\/?p=916"},"modified":"2018-05-09T07:54:50","modified_gmt":"2018-05-09T07:54:50","slug":"community-policing-personnel-pass-out-in-volta-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/voltaregion.gov.gh\/index.php\/community-policing-personnel-pass-out-in-volta-region\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Policing Personnel pass out in Volta Region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0A total of 571 Community Policing Personnel from five regions have passed out under the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Programme in the Volta Region after 21 days of rigorous training.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The regions are Greater Accra, Central, Volta, Eastern and Brong Ahafo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Greater Accra had the highest number of 329 personnel with 100 from Central Region, 82 from Volta, 59 from Eastern and one from the Brong Ahafo Region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mr Francis Ebenezer Doku, the Deputy Volta Regional Police Commander, called on the personnel to aid the police in maintaining law and order in communities they would be posted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He cautioned them against divulging information relating to security intelligence adding that a lot was expected of them to win the fight against crime, as they \u201care the liaison between the Police Service and the public.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, the Volta Regional Minister, said the YEA was established to empower the youth to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the nation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mr Ninkab King David Nkanbonam, the Regional Director, YEA, congratulated the recruits and urged them to use the acquired skills to help fight crime in their communities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He asked them to be disciplined, hardworking, patriotic and have a high sense of loyalty to the state and not any individual, group or political party.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The passing out ceremony was the fourth in the YEA Community Policing programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Source: GNA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0A total of 571 Community Policing Personnel from five regions have passed out under the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Programme in the Volta Region after 21 days of rigorous training.
