James Gunu, together with the Chief Director of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC), Alhaji Mohammed Avorna Akape, and the Regional Planning Officer, Mr. Felix Boateng, today received a delegation from the Land Use and Spatial Planning Authority (LUSPA), led by its Board Chairman, Mr. Jonathan Azaaso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The delegation formally introduced a five-year project supported by the World Bank, aimed at strengthening coastal resilience, restoring ecosystems such as lagoons and mangroves, and supporting livelihoods in coastal communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the initiative, LUSPA will lead the preparation of Spatial Development Frameworks (SDFs) for Anloga District, Keta Municipality, and Ketu South Municipality to guide sustainable development across both terrestrial and marine spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will also include capacity-building programmes, particularly for Municipal and District Chief Executives, to enhance spatial planning and development management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hon. James Gunu commended the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention to address spatial planning and development challenges in the coastal areas of the Volta Region, and assured the delegation
