The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, on 13th March 2025, met with officials from Ghana Gas, the project contractor, and Ketu South District Assembly to discuss the stalled 15-unit housing project meant for residents of Agavedzi, Amutinu, and Salakofe\u2014communities affected by tidal waves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, each party provided updates on their roles and the reasons behind the project\u2019s delay. The Regional Chief Director, Mr. Augustus Awity, and Hon. Gunu asked critical questions and provided directives on the way forward. It was noted that comprehensive engineering work is required for the entire area, as the current project conditions are not conducive for completion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hon. Gunu reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the affected communities receive the necessary support, working closely with all stakeholders to address the challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
