Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa has said corrupt officials who come begging him in his house to intercede for them will surely face proper auditing and possible prosecution.<\/p>\n
Dr. Letsa who made this known at Dambai in the Oti Region while inspecting some temporary facilities earmarked to host the Oti Regional Coordinating Council in the interim said: \u201cterrible crimes happen in our assemblies\u201d.<\/p>\n
Chiding public officials who will be posted to the new Oti Region to be diligent in their work, Dr. lecture said \u201cthe bus stops with Metropolitan Municipal and District Chief Executives and so they will be held responsible\u2026 You cannot say you are not aware, if you are not aware, you are in trouble, if you are aware, you are in trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some assembly officials recently attempted stealing GHc170,000. They concocted a project on paper, went and found a contractor, took his papers and paid the money into his account and collected it\u2026When you see people in suit stealing the tax payers money, I feel pained in my heart.\u201d Dr. Letsa lamented.<\/p>\n
The minister warned them that the Oti enclave will not see the development it yearns for which brought about the creation of the Oti Region if the employees of the new region are self-seeking and self-serving.<\/p>\n
