Work progresses on the construction of bitumen surfacing of Ehi-Dzodze, Ehi town roads (14.31km,) Agbozume Ehi feeder road (8.8km) and Todome-Toh Kpalime-Dzemeni f/r(21.8km)
On 12th October 2022, The Regional Manager of the Department of Feeder Roads, Ing. Gregory Amissah with his key technical team visited and inspected an ongoing Todome-Toh-Kpalime-Dzemeni Feeder Road Project in the North Dayi District. The project forms part of the Ehi-Dzodze, Ehi Town Roads (14.31km), Agbozume-Ehi Feeder Road (8.8km) and Todome-Toh-Kpalime-Dzemeni Feeder Road (21.8km) Contract.
The inspection was to ensure a section of the road under construction (Sub-Base layer) conform to contract specifications on 3rd October 2022. During the visit, the Grader Operator was scarifying the stretch for compaction. The Site Engineer was directed by the Department to provide Road Signs for both pedestrians and Traffic (vehicles) and additional water tanker at the site to reduce dirt within the area.
The Project is being executed by Messrs. G.S International Ghana Limited. It was awarded by the Ministry of Roads and Highways through the Department of Feeder Roads. The project duration has been extended to thirty-six (36) calendar months due to variation of works. The percentage of physical works completed was 41.18%.
Among the works done which was at various levels were; Construction of U-drains, Construction of Pipe Culvert, Formation of Sub-base and Base.
The project when completed will enhance the transportation of goods and services within that environs.
