As enshrined in the law, the Volta regional Coordinating Council, on Wednesday, 20th April 2022, held its first Regional Planning Coordinating Unit meeting for the year 2022. The main purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the performance of the District and Municipal Assemblies for the previous year.

The meeting which commenced with a welcome address from the acting Regional Coordinating Director, Mr. Prosper Afenyo, featured a presentation by the Regional Economic Planning Officer, Rev. Isaac Adza Tettey. The presentation covered three thematic areas namely: Team Work, Performance of the Assemblies and the DPAT Key Performance indicators. The house had some time for comments and questions and answers. In his closing remarks, the Hon. Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, urged all the Assemblies to work harder in 2022 for the development of their various jurisdictions and the region as a whole.

Also present at the meeting were the MDCEs, MDCDs, Key staff of the Assemblies and the Regional Coordinating Council.
