The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has commissioned a newly completed 3-unit classroom block for the Sadzikofe community in the Afadzato South District, marking an important milestone in improving access to quality education in the area.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Manfred Tawiah, noted that the project began about five years ago but was abandoned for a considerable period. Upon assuming office, he ensured that the contractor was paid and work resumed, leading to the successful completion of the facility. He expressed satisfaction that the project is finally being handed over to the community.

In his address, Hon. Gunu commended the DCE and the Assembly for their dedication to enhancing educational infrastructure. He highlighted President John Dramani Mahama’s National Apprenticeship Programme, explaining that it will support students who wish to pursue technical and vocational pathways. He added that resources are being made available to ensure that young people receive the practical training needed for future employment.

Responding to requests from the community, the Minister also pledged to provide football jerseys, balls, and other support items to promote both academic and extracurricular activities at the school.

The chiefs, elders, teachers, and residents of Sadzikofe expressed appreciation to the Minister and the District Assembly for their continuous commitment to the development of education in the district.
