Volta Regional Hospital recommissioned into a Teaching Hospital – Remarks by Regional Minister
Today marks the achievement of another milestone in the Volta Region, as the Volta Regional Hospital has been recommissioned into a Teaching Hospital.
This is in line with the promise of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to elevate the regional hospital to a teaching one during his tour of the Volta Region last year.
The event held at the UHAS auditorium located at the Teaching Hospital was under the chairmanship of Dr. Delanyo Dovlo.
We were blessed to have the Hon. Minister of Health, the Deputy Volta Regional Minister, the Chairman of the UHAS Council, the Vice Chancellor UHAS amongst others grace this historic event.
The Teaching Hospital shall bring tertiary health care services to the people of the Volta Region. It shall also bring about further socioeconomic opportunities to the region.
I therefore entreat all and sundry to take advantage of the presence of the Teaching Hospital to partner government to make this hospital a Medical Tourism Centre of international repute.
I used the opportunity to assure all present that the Volta Regional Coordinating Council shall do everything possible to nurture this hospital to attain the heights we all desire.
The NPP administration under the able leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo is delivering on its promises to the people of Volta.
To God be the Glory and to the people of Volta, we now have a Teaching Hospital.
