The Regional Environmental Health Officer, Madam Stella Kumedzro together with the Dean of MDEHOs, Mr Jerry Zidah, and all MDEHOS in the donated relief items to Central, South and North Tongu districts on November 3rd, 2023. The items were mobilized from the environmental Health Officers across the Volta Region.

The items include; 30 Wellington boots 10 for each district to be distributed to the Field officersrs), 40 litres of chlorine, six wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels, pick axes, , cover all, anti-snakes, mosquito coils, and nets, 25 cartons of medicated soap and two sacks of smoked and dry fish.

The donation was to assist the field Officers to perform their duties of risk communication and Community engagement in the flood affected areas. It was also to alleviate the suffering of the flood affected population in the affected areas.

The District Coordinating Director at Central Tongu received the items on behalf of the Hon. DCE with appreciation. In South and North Tongu, the District Chief Executives were present to receive the relief items.

Expressing joy of the gesture by the Volta regional Environmental Health Practitioners, the DCD of South Tongu expressed appreciation to the team and assured to supervise the judicious use of the items. The Victims also expressed their gratitude for the fish and soap donated to them.
