On Wednesday, 24^th August 2022, the Acting Country Representative of UNFPA Ghana Mr. Yissa Barnabas together with his team from UNFPA made a brief visit to the Midas Vocational Institute at Desiadenyo, Ho.

This brief visit was facilitated by the Regional Director of the Department of Gender, Mrs. Thywill Eyra Kpe and the UNFPA VRCC Focal Person, Ms. Victoria Fato.

The Department of Gender for the past year had worked with Midas Vocational Institute on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), and Career Development issues.

The Department seized the opportunity created by the visit of the Acting Country Representative to express gratitude to the UNFPA for their continued support to assist in the prevention of teenage pregnancy among girls in the Volta Region.
