THE COASTAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY DONATES TO THE VOLTA REGIONAL CO-ORDINATING COUNCIL
The Hon. Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa has taken delivery of 300 bottles of 250ml hand sanitizers and 3000 CoDA branded face masks which were part of 2000 bottles of 25 ml hand sanitizers and 30,000 face masks earmarked for distribution to the vulnerable in the Region.
At a short ceremony held at the foyer of the Regional Co-ordinating Council building, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Coastal Development Authority (CoDA), Mr. Bob Charles Agbontor, in the company of a Board Member of the Authority, Mr. Douglas Wagba presented the items to the Hon. Volta Regional Minister for onward distribution to the various Assemblies in the Region.
Mr. Agbontor stated that the items formed part of a package from CoDa which is interested in development. He indicated that as a development authority, CoDA was interested in the health of the people without which there could not be any development.
He therefore stated that CoDA saw the need to provide the above items to the vulnerables in the region especially People with Disability, Market Women and Commercial Drivers to help protect them from contracting the coronavirus.
Receiving the items, the Hon. Volta Regional Minister expressed appreciation to the Authority on behalf of the Volta Regional Co-ordinating Council, the various Assemblies, Chiefs and People of the Region.
He intimated that the items would go a long way to help the vulnerable who could not afford them by themselves as well as disrupt the transmission of the virus in the Region.
