On Tuesday 14th June, the Department of Gender, under the chairmanship of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC), organized the Second Quarter Stakeholders Meeting on the Provision of Minimum Essential Service Package for Survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence.
The meeting brought together key Stakeholder institutions and departments such as the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC), CHRAJ, Legal Aids Commission, the High Court, Department of Children, Department of Social Welfare, G.E.S, G.H.S, Representative of Volta Regional House of Chiefs, President of the Volta Regional Queen Mothers Association, Medical Superintendents and Clinical Psychologists.
Among issues discussed were Institutional updates from participants, Achievements, Challenges, Lessons Learnt and way the forward for effective coordination of SGBV cases in the Region.
A presentation was also made on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) to keep members of the team updated for effective implementation and coordination.
