As part of WASH interventions during the Akosombo spillage flooding, the Regional Inter-Agency Coordinating Committee on Sanitation (RICCS), continued with the distribution of dignity-kits to the affected populations in the safe havens established in the North Tongu District.

Some beneficiary communities include; Agbetikpo, Mepe R.C Basic School and New Bakpa. A total of 250 dignity-kits were distributed in the camps with Agbetikpo camp receiving a total of 195 boxes, New Bakpa 3 boxes and habitants of the Mepe R.C Basic School receiving 52 boxes.

The beneficiaries were educated on how to use each of the items in the boxes in order to promote sanitation and hygiene in their respective camps. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to UNICEF and RCCS for their donations during the spillage.
