Regional Environmental Health Unit Beautifies the Volta Regional Coordinating Council Premise
On 11th July 2022, the Regional Environmental Health Office as part of their mandate to keep the workplace environment clean and enhanced aesthetic undertook an exercise to beautify the premise of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council. The day although a public holiday, the Unit painted the Kerbs blocks and flower pots at the Council.
The beautification exercise was carried out as a complement to the Unit’s routine supervision of labourers at the Council’s premise and beyond to ensure a clean environment. The Unit undertakes routine cleaning within and around the office premises of the Regional Coordinating Council and other residencies under the Regional Coordinating Council. This is done in collaboration with other Units and Departments to get emerging issues resolved to in order to maintain clean and aesthetic environment.
Ms. Stella Kumedzro, the Regional environmental Health Officer applauded the staff of the Unit for participating in the exercise albeit the day was a public holiday.
The Acting Chief Directorof the Council, Mr. Proper Afenyo who also participated in the exercise commended the Unit for its innovative approaches to keeping the Council and other places clean at all times.
